About
About Tech Training Zen
simple. actionable. educational.
Inspired by all of the great material I’ve collected at conferences and in research, I want to share these resources with the SEU community as well as with anyone else interested in the intersections between education, web skills & literacy, visual computer arts and emerging technologies.
At SXSW 2010, I began a simple blog on Tumblr to share my liveblogging conference notes and all of the tech resources I’d find online to supplement my training workshops. In an effort to expand my blog and gain more WordPress experience, I decided as of SXSW 2011 to re-launch my blog here on WordPress.
The purpose of this blog will continue to be about curating and sharing tech training resources I find, including a variety of conference notes and liveblogging sessions.
Please don’t hesitate to let me know what you think about the site and what you’d like to see. Don’t forget to hit me up on Twitter!
About Megan
I’m the full time Computer Training Coordinator at St. Edward’s University (Instructional Technology department).
I train SEU students, faculty and staff on supported software like MS Office and the Adobe Creative Suite, along with teaching web design & standards during the monthly computer workshops we offer.
After graduating from St. Edward’s in 2007 with a BA in Communication, I worked at Apogee Search (now Apogee Results) doing SEO for several B2B and B2C clients across several industries.
I returned to SEU to join the IT staff in August 2008, where I run workshops and generally assist our community in learning the skills they need for a variety of tech projects.
